Juan Carlos Rodríguez, manager of the project Farmacia, is an artistic-pedagogical project aimed at developing a Visual Arts School in Pinar del Río. Its foundation lies in the need to reconnect humans with the land, based on telluric memory — as a substratum of the symbolic imaginary — and art as a healing process. Guided by four pillars (anthropological, psychological, philosophical, and poetic), its pedagogical structure includes regular and extension training workshops, theoretical meetings, critical debates, exhibitions, exchanges, and collaborations.

Rodríguez has held 6 solo exhibitions, including “Sondear el Universo” at the Center for the Development of Visual Arts, Havana (1999).

He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions in Cuba and abroad and has received awards at provincial and national salons.

His works are part of private collections in Cuba, the United States, and Spain.
