Wladymir Bernechea
Wladymir’s body of work can be oriented in two divergent directions: on the one hand, the representation of architectures and geometric forms that are implanted mostly on desert landscapes and on the other hand, the representation of ghostly and ethereal human figures, as if they were memories of a place that no longer exists. In this way, these two lines converge in the creation of a solitary and silent imaginary, which we could define as a stage and character in the middle of nowhere. On the other hand, there is a clear reference to modernist architecture and the sculptural movements of the 1970s and 1980s, as well as Japanese pop imagery in the representation of the characters he creates in his paintings.
